Frequently Asked Questions

When and where are practices held?

Practices are held one to two times a week, on weekdays, with typical starting times between 4:30 - 5:30 PM. These practices last for one to one and a half hours and are played on the Pivot Point Soccer Fields located next to the Hustisford Town Hall at the intersection of HWY 60 and County Road EE. Where do games take place?

Home games take place at the Pivot Point Soccer Fields, which are located next to Hustisford Town Hall at the intersection of HWY 60 and County Road EE. You can view the location on google maps here.

When does the season begin and end?

For the fall season, the timeline is roughly:

  • Practices begin third week of August.
  • Games begin first weekend of September. Games are usually held on Saturdays in the morning / early afternoon, but can occur on weekday evenings depending on scheduling needs.
  • The season usually ends during the last week of October.

 

For spring, replace August, September, and October with March, April, and May, respectively.

Does the KMSL league offer any tournaments?

Yes! You can be fairly confident that at least one tournament will offered throughout the year. Tournaments incur additional fees determined by the hosting club which may be covered by the Hustisford Soccer Club on a case by case basis.

Fall AND Spring Volunteering Information

Head Coach (Maximum Two Per Team)

As head coach, your responsibilities include:

  1. Setting up the practice schedule and team rules.
  2. Contacting the team members and distributing all schedules and information needed by team members.
  3. Delegating jobs to assistants.
  4. Running practices and attending games.
  5. Attending all required coaches training.

Assistant Coach

As assistant coach, your responsibilities include:

  1. Attending all practices & games and assisting head coach with jobs as needed.
  2. Attend coaches training if possible.

Concession Stand Volunteer

As a concession stand volunteer, your responsibilities include:

  1. Working at the stand twice in fall and twice in spring per child.
  2. You will be contacted to select spots to determine your volunteer schedule.
  3. Those who do not fulfill their obligation will be charged the Non-Volunteer rate.

Soccer Dance Volunteer

As a soccer dance volunteer, your responsibilities include:

  1. The Fall Dance will be held on Friday, October 30th. A Spring Dance may be held in April or May. Options are serving food in the kitchen, taking tickets at the door or security.

Field Maintenance Volunteer

As a field maintenance volunteer, your responsibilities include:

  1. Start of the Fall & Spring season Maintenance includes – Helping layout and mark fields, cleaning out stand and bathrooms, setting up tables and garbage cans.
  2. End of the Fall & Spring season Maintenance includes – Helping put markers on fields, cleaning out stand and bathrooms, putting away tables and garbage cans.

Bathroom Custodian

As bathroom custodian, your responsibilities include:

  1. Will be in charge of cleaning and emptying the garbage in the bathroom. A cleaning schedule will be given out depending on how many Custodian Volunteers have signed up.

Spring ONLY Volunteering Information

Concession Stand Volunteer

As a concession stand volunteer, your responsibilities include:

  1. Working at the stand at least once in spring per child.
  2. Workers will be contacted to sign up for open spots on the schedule.
  3. Those who do not fulfill their obligation will be charged the Non-Volunteer rate.

Field Maintenance Volunteer

As a field maintenance volunteer, your responsibilities include:

  1. Start of the Spring season Maintenance – Helping layout and mark fields, setting up tables and garbage cans.
  2. End of the Spring season Maintenance – Helping move benches and possible field cleanup.

Parent Game Changer Instructions

GameChanger is a free team management app for web / iOS / Android containing match schedules, GPS field locations, and more.  If your coach has opted to use the app, the following steps are required:

  • Download GameChanger (with a green icon, not the classic white version) from your system's app store.
  • Create an account with the email address you registered your child with when you registered on this website.
  • If you already had an account with GameChanger, and it used the same email as you use on this website, then nothing is required.
After a few minutes your team and participants should show up in the app without any further input from you. If you did not sign up on the website this season,  your coach will have to manually invite you to the team on the app.
